One of the first places you will want to look is the consumer research guide.

More specifically, the best databases for market research include:

  • IBISWorld
    • Includes reports with market size and market share data for US industries and select China and Global industries.
  • Statista
    • Very good resource to determine market size or individual company/brand market share. Search by keyword or industry.
  • Passport
    • Includes detailed market share and brand share data for consumer products at the global, regional, and country-level.
  • Insider Intelligence
    • Focused on digital consumers and industries (e.g. Telehealth, E-commerce, etc.). Great resource for social media data.
  • Mintel
    • Includes expert analysis of consumer trends. Great for lifestyle trends (e.g. Personal care, Apparel, Travel, Beauty, etc.).
  • RKMA Market Research Handbooks
    • Includes a limited selection of market research (e.g. B2B marketing, E-commerce, Restaurant, Leisure, etc.).
  • MarketLine Reports
    • Provides information about market value, segmentation and forecasts. Search for "Industry Profile" in the second search box.

For any of the above, login with your SCU email and password. Resources are accessible both on-campus and off-campus.
